Welcome to the shortest-lived political blog ever -- Mr. Coyne Goes to Washington -- intended for the sole purpose of chronicling the inner workings of Overseas Americans Week 2008 between now and its conclusion on April 18, 2008.
OAW is the annual lobbying visit to Washington by the Association of Americans Resident Overseas (AARO), American Citizens Abroad (ACA) and the Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas (FAWCO). That means that twenty of us will converge on Washington this weekend and spend April 13-18 begging, pleading and coercing members of Congress to do the right thing on our various issues, primarily voting, tax and the Americans Abroad Caucus. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, be patient, you will soon. :)
